(Bhagavad Gita II.40) I am a Dharma Yoga certified instructor (CYT 300) with over 15 years of dedicated practice and a passion for the profound benefits of yoga for body, mind, and heart. My teaching is informed by explorations in Anusara, Dharma Yoga, Vinyasa Krama, Astanga, Bikram, Viniyoga, Thai Massage and Yin Yoga. I am completing my advanced training with Gioconda Parker and Christina Sell of the San Marcos School of Yoga (500Hr RYT 2015). What I have discovered for myself in the depth of this tradition is to let go of false expectations. The only yoga you will find of any use at all is the one where you meet yourself on the mat, right where you are, just as you are. It is the surest way to accelerate learning and growth. This is my method: Breath, awareness, and intention. Yoga has an aim. The practices of Yoga unite in a great purpose, its culmination is to set the vehicle of conscious awareness in motion, to reveal our true nature and birth us to purpose. W. B. Yeats wrote: "Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire." I am a curator of an experience of unity with Self, Other, Source, where I serve as the Guide to Curiosity and Wonder, in a little ceremony we affectionately refer to as "The Marriage of the Sun & Moon."
